This is my second week for teaching, which means my last day. For this week I only had to teach four days because we didn't have any classes on Chinese New Year. I made three lesson plans.
In this week I introduced the classes two new topics. Two days for contraction, one day for activity for contraction and on the last day I taught writing descriptive paragraph. Before starting the class, I already submitted the lesson plans to my cooperating teacher and I always discussed about what activity and the strategies that I'm going to do at classes also.
For day one on contractions, I introduced the classes about contraction, I emphasized the use of contractions, gave the pupils basic activities to do, but I asked the pupils a day before to bring some materials for next day's activities.
For day two, I gave the classes contraction-surgery games, I didn't forget to recall the contractions and integrated some values on it.
For day three, which the last day for contraction. Based on curriculum map, contraction needs three days only because it's more on memorizing and repeating. So for that day's activities was only exercise.
Friday, my last day for teaching the classes. I got the opportunity to teach all of the Grade 2 classes. For the last's day I teach, I introduced the new topic, it was writing descriptive paragraph. I integrated some values about how respectful and how important writing is. We discussed the topics and I didn't forget to recall the last topic we have discussed. My strategy was ImaginaSEE talk and I asked the pupils to describe something orally.
I greeted and thank the pupils for being cooperative and treat me as their teacher. Saying goodbye always sucks. We want to see each other on the future. The pupils promised me to respect and listen to all of the teachers. I have got kinda emotional at that time.
My cooperating teacher always gives me appretiations and suggestions to make me a better teacher, always. She introduces me to new strategies and suggests me so many good things to integrate values. Also class and time management that she always reminds me. I have got a lot for teaching in here.
