It’s our third day we are here and the schedule for today was meeting with all of the cooperation teachers in the morning and observation classes in the afternoon. There were four of us that will be teaching in the grade school. First, we ate our breakfast in our rooms and went straight to the school at 7 in the morning. Before the meeting, we attended the flag ceremony at 7.20 a.m. We were being introduced one by one in front of the students.

After the flag ceremony, we waited in the Team Leader’s Faculty. All of the participants gathered before going to the boardroom. The meeting opened by Ma’am Alejandra Jeanie as the grade school assistant principal. Ma’am AJ explained about the grade school and we also told our expectation as a teacher students.

Im gonna be teaching in Grade 2, English Subject with Ma’am April Joy Dag-uman as my cooperating teacher. She teaches English for language and reading and she is the adviser for St. MA Gorreti class, which is science section.
After the meeting ended, Ma’am Joy introduced me to all of the grade two classes. The pupils were so welcoming, they were so curious and asked me about everything. Since there’s gonna be a university celebration or SPUS week that will be held on Jan 23 -25, and all of the grades have to perform so for today’s observation there was only a practice. The theme for the grade school is Anime. One Piece is the grade two’s theme.
Ma’am Joy told that all of the the pupils of Grade 2 are 82 in total and 25 – 30 pupils per class. All of the grade two classes are on the second floor. From the practice, I saw the culture in the class here. The pupils practiced over and over again even though they were tired already from the morning classes. The teachers and pupils have been trying their best to make it perfect. After the practice ended, Ma’am Joy gave me her schedule, the curriculum map and lesson plan for language and reading. We were sharing our culture in school. Not only that, but we were sharing a lot about other things such as regions, rules, cultures, families, and etc. I learned quite a lot for today.

For the next day, my morning started from the flag ceremony and I had to stand in front of the grade 2 classes and I observed Ma’am Joy's Homeroom Guidance (HRG) class. Before the class started, ma’am Joy wrote the objectives for today’s class and asked one of the pupils to write the number of presence and absent pupils. Ma’am Joy discussed with the class through power point presentation. The intresting part that I really like from that class was the Imaginative Talk. Ma’am Joy asked the pupils to close their eyes and imagine about how their parents bless them at home. The class closed with the pupils wrote their own letter to thank their parents. The class was following by the practice in the field. I learned the moves already so I was helping Ma’am Joy with the pupils.
